Wendy Taylor has organised some Peel 2 Save cards to raise funds for the branch. Each card has 64 stickers for discounts available at over 20 popular local businesses (Frankie & Benny's, Simon Howie, The Bothy, Perth Playhouse) with up to 20% off. The cards each cost £10 with £5 coming back to the branch. The discounts are available from now until 31st August - so that's the school holidays covered. Anyone interested in purchasing a card should get in touch with Wendy on at the dedicated email adddress fundraising @msperth-kinross.org.uk.

A hearty thank you goes to Tracey Gellatly (and a team of volunteers) who held a Cake Break event in St. Margaret's Hall, Blairgowrie on 5th May. There was a mouth-watering spread (the lemon drizzle cake was delicious) and the event was well supported. Through admissions, sales and donations the event raised a brilliant £440.09. So again, our thanks go to Tracey for organising and hosting such a busy and successful event.

1st Scone Boys' Brigade have made a very welcome donation to the branch by raising £352.44 by selling Christmas stamps. The group invited chairman Dave Turner and Fundraising Coordinator Wendy Taylor to one of their meetings to find out more about the condition and to present the cheque. We are also grateful to the members of Blairgowrie & District Motorcycle Club who raised £1,000 on a sponsored cycle ride from Braemar to Blairgowrie in August 2011.

Alison Cummings, our Secretary has raised an incredible total of £210 from her Tea Party which was held in October. This again involves an enormous amount of work with the preparation of home baking and is supported by Alison's friends and neighbours.

Sylvia Nunn has raised a manificent £600 at a Body Shop Sales Event. There's a picture of the cheque presentation at the Gateway on the photogallery page. A huge thank you to Sylvia from the branch for her work in making the event a success.

The final total for Wendy Taylor's Charity Night featuring Lieutenant Stardust on 13th August was £1,338.62 which she raised between ticket sales, raffle and auction. The picture of the cheque presentation is on our Photogallery Page.

Local man, John Waker's 70th birthday party came with a lovely surprise for the branch. John asked that, any money that would have been spent on presents for him were used for donations. A cheque for £600 was later presented to branch chairman and members of the committee. A huge Thank You to John and his family and friends from the branch. We have been delighted with Alison Cumming's hand made cards which she has been selling to raise funds for the branch.  The cards are beautifully produced and reasonably priced at £1.30 for a small card, £1.50 for a medium size card and £2.00 for a large card (A5).
