Tesco Collections
Tesco's have provided us with the dates for two collections - one at their Edinburgh Road store and one at their store on Crieff Road (Tesco Extra). The first one is at Edinburgh Road and will take place on 20th & 21st February 2009 and the second one is due to take place on 24th & 25th April 2009.
Obviously, we will need volunteers to help with the collection - anyone interested should contact Brian Brown on 01738 631121 or fundraising@msperth-kinross.org.uk
Countless Calories & Cards
If you're not able to help with the collection at Tesco on Sunday 21st February - this event may be more to your taste. After the success of Marjorie McFarlane's Gateaux Galore event we are providing another opportunity to enjoy some of the fruits of her culinary skills to raise funds for the branch.
And if that isn't enough to entice you (although it should be!)- this year she is joining forces with Alison Cummings offering some of her home-made greetings cards - just in time for Mother's Day.
The event at Luncarty Church Hall on the 21st February 2009 between 2pm and 4 pm and the £2 admission goes to branch funds.
Quiz Night
The quiz at the Moncrieffe Arms Hotel on 18th November was a great success. A packed room wrestled with questions posed by Jim Masson of the Evening Telegraph A fantastic total of £350 was raised including £55 which was raised through the rafle of a Highland Cow donated by Alyce Thomson and won by Leigh-Anne Leishman. All the participants had a great night and so many said that we should do it again.
Our thanks go to Alison Cummings who organised it (and so soon after her tea party), to the Moncrieffe Arms, to all the donors of raffle prizes and to those who came along to enjoy the night.

Scottish Walks - A Special Update
We were delighted to receive a cheque for £111 from Douglas Mair of Kinross. Douglas, who is 9, is a pupil at Kinross Primary School and took part in the Great Wee Scottish Walk, in Perth, during the Summer. Douglas also likes playing musical instruments, meeting friends and swimming. He chose the MS Society as its close to his family and affects a lot of people. A huge thank you to Douglas!
Tea Party
Alison Cummings held a Tea Party for friends on the 25th October and raised a cracking £216. Thanks go to Alison for the cakes and goodies and to those who braved the weather to go along.
