About Marjorie McFarlane - our Transport Co-ordinator

I was born towards the middle of the last century and swung gently through the "Sixties" via college in Edinburgh to become a Home Economics teacher. I married Ken in 1969 and subsequently we had two sons - Neil and Keith.  All of my teaching career was spent in various schools/colleges in Perthshire before taking early retirement and becoming busier than ever!

I was diagnosed with MS in 1999 and joined the Committee of the branch later that year.

My hobbies include amateur dramatics, going to the theatre and ballet, doing crosswords, helping out with several youth groups in my local church and also trying to understand the antics of our Springer Spaniel - Isla.

I have been involved with the Chernobyl Children Life Line charity for the last eleven years organising health breaks for children suffering from the after-effects of the Chernobyl disaster. Ken and I have hosted many children over the years and was, until recently, the Scottish Co-ordinator for the Charity.
