I was born in Chesterfield but have lived in Scotland for the last thirty five years. I have been married to Dorothea, who suffers from MS, for forty years. We have three children all of whom are married and seven grandchildren. I served twenty two years in the Royal Air Force as an Avionics Technician and Trainer after which I joined Air Service Training at Scone Airport as a Lecturer. After a period I became the Principal of the Aeronautical Engineering College - a position I held for ten years until I decided to retire early eight years ago.
I am a founder Board member of The Therapy Centre(Scotland) for neurological conditions. This is a company with charitable status set up to create the proposed Therapy Centre.
Apart from the family, my interests are genealogy, computing, puzzles, golf and most spectator sports.
