My name is Brian Brown and I am 41 years old, I am married and have 3 girls.
I was first diagnosed with primary progressive MS back in June 2004. Since then I have attended therapy groups at the Gateway where I can speak to other people who have MS and enjoy a massage. I joined the Perth and Kinross MS committee about two and a half years ago doing fundraising. Some of the fundraising events that I have already done include: A 60 hour movie marathon in 2004, The West Highland Way in 2005, The Rob Roy Way in 2006, and an attempt at The Broon Way (A 33 mile walk from Dunblane to Perth) in 2007.
Last October I trained for a Long Term Condition and Self Management Course and since then I have already taken courses in Glenrothes, Broughty Ferry, Perth and Forfar. I will be taking another course in Arbroath during the autumn. I really enjoy taking the courses and I would highly recommend them as they are enjoyable and really helpful.
